Following the announcement, prices have shown a marginal improvement in key markets.

Conclusion
The Centre's decision to procure green gram and sunflower seeds at MSP levels is a significant step to support farmers in Karnataka, especially as moong prices were falling below the support levels. By securing purchases under the Price Support Scheme, the government aims to stabilize prices and safeguard farmers' incomes. With an increase in moong acreage this year, particularly in Karnataka, the timely intervention is expected to boost farmer confidence and ensure a fair price for their produce.
