Power Grid Corporation gains on emerging as successful bidder for three projects

Power Grid Corporation Of India is currently trading at Rs. 259.05, up by 5.00 points or 1.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 254.05 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 256.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 260.95 and Rs. 256.30 respectively. So far 109927 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 366.20 on 25-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 247.50 on 28-Feb-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 260.95 and Rs. 247.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 240420.61 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.13% and 3.53% respectively.
Power Grid Corporation of India has been declared as successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding for the three projects to establish Inter-State Transmission System under Build, Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The first project comprises augmentation of transformation capacity at under construction Sirohi substation in the State of Rajasthan. The project also comprises 765kV D/C Transmission Lines traversing in the States of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh; second project comprises ICT augmentation works at existing Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS) in the State of Gujarat; and the third project comprises establishment of new 765 / 400 / 220kV Kurnool IV Pooling Sub-Station and augmentation of transformation capacity at existing C’peta Substation in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The third project also comprises 765kV and 400kV D/C Transmission Lines traversing in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The Letter of Intent (LoI) for the respective projects have been received by the company on March 3, 2025.
