RPG Life Sciences jumps as its arm to acquire API business of Raghava Life Sciences

RPG Life Sciences is currently trading at Rs. 2639.20, up by 66.50 points or 2.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 2572.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2624.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2645.95 and Rs. 2605.70 respectively. So far 208 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 8 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3080.90 on 21-Jul-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1731.25 on 23-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2671.50 and Rs. 2492.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4364.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.60% and 19.44% respectively.

RPG Life Sciences’ wholly owned subsidiary -- RPG Active Pharma (RPGAP) has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Intermediates business undertaking of Raghava Life Sciences on a going-concern basis through a slump sale. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

The acquisition is the next step in RPGAP's consolidation play based on a well-planned buy-and-build strategy to bolster organic growth and create an integrated, scaled API focused organization. Following the recent acquisition of Actis Generics, this transaction broadens RPGAP's manufacturing base, product portfolio, regulatory capabilities and customer access across geographies. The consolidated organization is intended to strengthen RPGAP's participation in the growing API market through greater scale, synergies, deeper integration and focused commercial execution.

RPGAP expects to unlock value through defined synergies across this acquisition, Actis and the wider RPGAP network, including backward integration, improved capacity utilization, cost synergies and selected product transfers.
