Sanjay Sharma, Managing Director, Aye Finance, commented on the second quarter’s performance: “India’s micro-enterprises form the backbone of its economy, yet many still lack access to formal credit. Aye Finance was built to serve them at scale without compromising on asset quality or cost discipline, and this quarter’s results show that model at work. Profit after tax rose 151% year-on-year and 16% quarter-on-quarter to INR 87 crore, our highest-ever quarterly profit. Credit costs fell for the seventh consecutive quarter to 3.8%, and our operating expense ratio improved to 8.6%, the best in eight quarters. We remain firmly on track to deliver our FY27 growth and earnings guidance while absorbing the expected effects of increased cost of borrowing. As we increase our leverage against the capital raised in our February 2026 IPO, we expect return on equity to rise steadily through the subsequent quarters.”
