Power Grid Corporation gains on acquiring Rajasthan IV C Power Transmission

Power Grid Corporation Of India is currently trading at Rs. 341.55, up by 1.30 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 340.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 341.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 342.55 and Rs. 338.90 respectively. So far 20413 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 362.30 on 01-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 181.09 on 25-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 343.30 and Rs. 330.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 316453.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.04% and 3.62% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has on August 19, 2024 acquired Rajasthan IV C Power Transmission, the Project SPV to establish Transmission System for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part 2: 5.5 GW) (Jaisalmer/ Barmer Complex): Part C, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator – REC Power Development and Consultancy.

The project comprises establishment of new 765/400/220 kV Pooling sub-station at Mandsaur, 765kV D/C Transmission Line and associated bays extension works at other existing substation in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
