Edelweiss Asset Management Strengthens Alternatives Investment Team with Appointments of Priyam Kedia & Vivek Sharma

Edelweiss Mutual Fund (EAMC/EMF), one of India’s fastest-growing AMCs, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Alternatives team with the appointment of Priyam Kedia as Head-Alternative Credit and Vivek Sharma as Fund Manager - Alternative Equities. These key appointments signify Edelweiss’ commitment to staying at the forefront of Alternatives business and delivering exceptional results.

Commenting on the appointment, Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO, Edelweiss AMC said, “In the next phase of growth of our AMC, Alternatives Business will be a key focus area for us. We will be making strategic investments to build capabilities and bring in innovative solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers. We will continue to make strategic investments in our Alternatives business to take it to greater heights.”

Within Alternatives, Edelweiss AMC will have public equity, private equity and private credit strategies to provide a wide range of offerings to investors.

Priyam Kedia has joined Edelweiss AMC's Investment team as the Head of Alternative Credit, bringing with him over 16 years of rich experience in credit investments, origination and structuring. Before joining Edelweiss AMC, he was Sr. Vice President of the Credit and Structured Products team at Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited. He was also part of the Structured Finance Group at ICICI Bank. Priyam holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a bachelor's degree in commerce (Hons) from the esteemed St. Xavier's College in Kolkata.

Vivek Sharma recently joined Edelweiss AMC's Investment team as the Fund Manager for Alternative Equities. With 17 years of extensive experience in managing Large cap, Mid cap, and Hybrid mutual fund schemes are poised to markedly strengthen the Alternative investment team. Prior to this role at Edelweiss, he served as a fund manager at PGIM India AMC, and his previous professional experiences include positions at ICICI Securities and JP Morgan Services. Vivek holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune, and a bachelor's degree in commerce (Hons) from the esteemed St. Xavier's College in Kolkata.
