Market Outlook: Indian markets are likely to open flat, with Gift Nifty marginally higher by 0.01% despite mixed global cues. US markets ended largely unchanged, with the S&P 500 declining 0.02%, Dow Jones falling 0.31%, while Nasdaq 100 gained 0.03%. Domestic markets witnessed broad-based selling in the previous session, with Nifty 50 declining 1.64% and Sensex falling 1.67%. Market breadth remained weak, with NSE recording 942 advances against 2,586 declines, while BSE witnessed 1,362 advances versus 3,013 declines. Options data indicates Nifty Call OI concentration at 24,000 and Put OI concentration at 23,000, with PCR at 0.94, indicating cautious positioning among traders.
 
FII & DII Activity: Institutional flows remained divergent, with FIIs/FPI turning net sellers with outflows of Rs 5,027.4 crore, while DIIs provided support through net buying of Rs 4,301.2 crore. The strong domestic institutional participation partially cushioned the impact of foreign outflows amid heightened global uncertainty and weakness across broader markets.
 
Sector Activity: Sectoral performance remained under pressure, with all major sectors closing in negative territory. Financial Services declined 2.39%, led by weakness in banking stocks, while Metal (-1.96%), Auto (-1.57%), Services (-1.74%), Construction (-1.67%), Manufacturing (-1.29%), Oil & Gas (-1.23%) and FMCG (-1.08%) witnessed selling pressure. IT (-0.44%), Pharma (-0.45%) and Healthcare (-0.66%) relatively outperformed but remained marginally negative.
 
F&O Activity: Derivative data indicated fresh long build-up in ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Oil India, MCX, Mankind Pharma and Divi’s Laboratories. Short build-up was observed in Policybazaar, Max Financial Services, LT Finance, Bank of Maharashtra and AU Small Finance Bank. Long unwinding was witnessed in Mazagon Dock, Hyundai Motor India, Waaree Energies, PI Industries and IREDA, while short covering was seen in Kaynes Technology, Zydus Lifesciences, Dixon Technologies, OFSS and GMR Airports.
