Tata Power gains as its step down arm commissions 200 MW solar project in Bikaner

Tata Power is currently trading at Rs. 415.10, up by 2.95 points or 0.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 412.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 416.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 419.90 and Rs. 414.95 respectively. So far 418394 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 433.20 on 07-Mar-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 192.10 on 06-Apr-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 419.90 and Rs. 398.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 133085.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.28% and 26.85% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy’s (TPREL) subsidiary -- TP Saurya (TPSL) has successfully commissioned a 200MW solar project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, for Tata Power Trading Company (TPTCL).

Expected to generate an impressive 485 million units of energy annually, the project aligns with the Company’s mission to drive substantial contributions to India's renewable energy capacity. Furthermore, the project will be seamlessly integrated into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus, ensuring efficient distribution of clean energy across the region.

The endeavour marks a significant milestone in the renewable energy landscape, highlighting TPREL’s unwavering commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Despite encountering numerous challenges, including adverse weather conditions with temperatures soaring to 50+ degrees Celsius, extreme cold winters, sandstorms, and geopolitical hurdles, the project was completed within the designated timeline.
