Power Grid Corporation of India falls on reporting 4% decline in Q3 consolidated net profit

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 279.00, down by 4.90 points or 1.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 283.90 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 279.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 282.75 and Rs. 272.30 respectively. So far 276037 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 366.20 on 25-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 257.75 on 15-Mar-2024.

Power Grid Corporation of India has reported marginal decline of 1.92% in its net profit at Rs 3894.09 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3FY25) as compared to Rs 3970.23 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased slightly by 1.24% at Rs 11609.22 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 11467.61 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On consolidated basis, the company has reported 4.14% decline in its net profit at Rs 3861.63 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, as compared to Rs 4028.25 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased marginally by 0.65% at Rs 11743.06 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 11819.70 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
