Torrent Power moves up as its arm incorporates two new subsidiaries

Torrent Power is currently trading at Rs. 1248.15, up by 4.15 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 1244.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1245.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1254.00 and Rs. 1245.05 respectively. So far 2989 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1824.00 on 27-Apr-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1188.00 on 06-Oct-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,332.00 and Rs. 1241.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 62922.44 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.09%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.55% and 9.36% respectively.

Torrent Power’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Torrent Green Energy (TGEPL) has incorporated two new subsidiaries, namely Torrent Urja 50 and Torrent Urja 51. The Certificate of Incorporation is received from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on August 19, 2026.

Subsidiaries are incorporated with object to carry on the business of manufacture, process, produce, assemble, alter, purchase, refine, treat, reduce, distil, blend, purify, store, hold, transport, use, experiment with, supply, sell, import, export, trade and generally deal in hydrogen, its by-products and/or its derivatives like ammonia, chemicals, compressed natural gas and mineral substances and Generation, transmission, distribution, purchase, procurement, sale, trading, import, export, storage of power, Hydrogen and/or its derivatives like ammonia or otherwise deal in all forms of nonconventional, renewable, green, hydro power, or any other sources of energy including electrical power and energy in all aspects.
