DLF gains as its arm inks pact to acquire 26.97% stake in Balang Renewables
DLF is currently trading at Rs. 669.40, up by 2.75 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 666.65 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 666.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 674.50 and Rs. 658.40 respectively. So far 91144 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 794.25 on 17-Sep-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 489.30 on 02-Apr-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 682.40 and Rs. 657.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 166155.30 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.08%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.33% and 5.60% respectively.
DLF’s step-down subsidiary -- DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) has executed a share purchase and shareholders agreement to acquire around 26.97% equity shares of Balang Renewables for a cash consideration of Rs 4.20 crore. DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) is a subsidiary of DLF Cyber City Developers, a material subsidiary of the company. The acquisition is aimed at catering the rising demand for electricity through environment friendly energy solutions. The acquisition is estimated to be completed within 30 days from the date of execution of the transaction documents.
Balang Renewables is engaged in the business of development, operation and maintenance of the renewable energy plant and further supplying the green power, to the DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) under the Captive Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). To qualify as a Captive User in terms of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the allied rules, the DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) is required to subscribe to the equity shares comprising at least 26% of the issued and paid-up equity share capital of the Balang Renewables.
