Patel Engineering gains on bagging contract worth Rs 239.98 crore from NHPC

Patel Engineering is currently trading at Rs. 39.67, up by 0.19 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 39.48 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 40.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 40.35 and Rs. 39.60 respectively. So far 341438 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 62.80 on 16-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 33.65 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 40.41 and Rs. 39.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3353.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 36.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.69% and 54.19% respectively.

Patel Engineering has secured a contract valued at Rs 239.98 crore (inclusive of taxes) from NHPC for the works involving modification of diversion tunnel into tunnel spillway arrangement -- Civil & Hydro Mechanical works for Package 6 - TEESTA-V Power Station, Sikkim. The project is located in the South District of Sikkim and is scheduled to be completed within 18 months. Key components of the scope include construction of the tunnel spillway, gate operation chamber and shaft, precast bridge, access road, energy dissipation structures, dyke, environmental flow tunnel, and associated infrastructure. The company has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the same.

The company is currently working on NHPC's Teesta-VI HEP (Lot-2) near Singtam town, around 30 km from the new project site, further improving regional expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure.
