Stocks in News

• WIPRO: ABB extends engagement with Wipro to deliver and enhance global digital workplace services.

• COAL INDIA: SWMA e-auction coal allocation stood at 82.76 lakh tonnes in August 2026, with an average premium of 59% over the notified price. Cumulative April-August allocation stood at 477.4 lakh tonnes at a 46% premium.

• GLAND PHARMA: USFDA completed GMP inspection of the company's VSEZ sterile oncology formulations and API facilities in Visakhapatnam with zero Form 483 observations.

• NMDC: Iron ore production rose 20.8% YoY to 4.07 MT and sales increased 5.6% YoY to 3.58 MT in August 2026. April-August production and sales stood at 23.23 MT and 18.72 MT, respectively

• CENTRUM ELECTRONICS: Secured an export order worth USD 3.22 million (Rs 30.5 crore) from a global OEM customer for design, development and delivery of electronic systems. Execution is scheduled over the next seven months

• EMS: The company became L-1 bidder for Rajasthan sewerage work worth Rs 219 crore, to be executed in 18 months.

• CAPLIN POINT LABORATORIES: The company subsidiary Caplin One Labs received GMP compliance certification from Colombia's INVIMA for manufacturing oncology products, covering sterile lyophilised injectables, tablets and hard capsules.

• INDO TECH TRANSFOMERS: The company received Rs 55 crore order from Waaree Renewable Technologies for supply of five power transformers. Execution is scheduled between January and April 2027.

• ARSS INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT: The company received Rs 130.5 crore railway ROB construction order from East Coast Railway involving three road over bridges between Kaipada Road-Tapang and Balugaon-Chilika sections under Khurda Road Division

• GST collections surge to Rs 2 lakh crore, car sales jump 36%: India's economic indicators showed resilience and growth in August. Goods and services tax collections rose 14.8 percent to Rs 2 lakh crore. Bulk car sales surged 36 percent, and UPI transactions reached a new record. Power consumption increased 12.9 percent, signaling economic momentum. These figures reflect healthy consumption and improving compliance across the nation.

Global News

• Oil surges as U.S.-Iran tensions threaten Middle East supply flows: Oil prices rose nearly 1% in early Wednesday trade, extending gains of over $4/ bbl in the previous session, as renewed U.S.-Iran strikes heightened concerns over Middle East supply disruptions and increased risks around the Strait of Hormuz, a key route carrying around one-fifth of global oil consumption. Brent crude rose 0.92% to $95.52/bbl, while WTI gained 0.89% to $91.02/bbl, with tanker attacks and Iran’s threat to further restrict shipping forcing traders to seek alternative crude supplies. Adding to the bullish sentiment, U.S. crude inventories fell by 2.6 million barrels in the week ended August 28, while distillate stocks declined by 265,000 barrels.

Government Security Market:

* The Inter-bank call money rate traded in the range of 4.00%- 5.25% on Tuesday ended at 4.75%.

* The 10 year benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) closed at 6.9581% on Tuesday Vs 6.9452% on Monday

Global Debt Market:

U.S. Treasury yields increased on Tuesday, as renewed tensions in the Middle East drove global government borrowing costs higher. The 10-year Treasury note yield the main benchmark for mortgages, auto loans and credit card debt rose more than 2 basis points to 4.7840%. The longer-dated 30-year Treasury note yield, which tends to track geopolitical events, was also up more than 2 basis points at 5.2740%. The yield on the 2-year Treasury note, which typically moves in line with short-term Federal Reserve interest rate decisions, was up more than 1 basis point at 4.3604%. Borrowing costs rose as traders continue to weigh developments in the Middle East, after U.S. forces earlier launched fresh strikes against Iran, and a tanker was struck by unknown projectiles off the coast of Oman in the Strait of Hormuz. The escalation pushed oil prices higher. West Texas Intermediate futures were last seen 1.49% higher at $87.04 per barrel, while Brent crude the international oil price benchmark advanced 1.34% to $91.71.Investors are also monitoring the G20 finance ministers’ meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, which is set to conclude later Tuesday, as well as a raft of domestic economic data, including the ISM Manufacturing PMI print and the JOLTS job openings data, with non-farm payrolls figures expected Friday.

10 Year Benchmark Technical View :

The 10 year Benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) yield likely to move in the range of 6.9450% to 6.9650% level on Wednesday.
