• China goes shopping in India as exports jump 39% and BRICS trade picks up: India’s exports are gaining ground across key markets, with shipments to four core BRICS economies rising 34% to $19.9 billion in April-August 2026- 27. China and South Africa led the growth, while exports to Japan, Italy and South Korea also rose sharply, pointing to a broader expansion in India’s export footprint.

• Trump-Xi summit centers on trade truce extension amid Taiwan tensions: The upcoming September 24 Trump-Xi summit is expected to focus on extending the existing US-China trade truce, with China entering the talks from a stronger trade position and showing limited willingness to make major concessions; while Washington may seek progress on trade, agricultural purchases, fentanyl controls and pressure on Iran, Taiwan remains a key issue for Beijing, making the summit more about maintaining strategic stability than securing a major breakthrough.

* The Inter-bank call money rate traded in the range of 4.50% - 5.40% on Friday ended at 5.05%.
* The 10 year benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) closed at 7.0686% on Friday Vs 7.0463% on Thursday
Global Debt Market:
Treasury yields were mixed on Friday morning, as investors continued to look for clues on the trajectory of monetary policy. The yield on the benchmark 10- year Treasury was flat at 4.951% as of 4:45 a.m. ET. Yields on the 2-year Treasury note were up almost 2 basis points to 4.707%, while 30-year Treasury yields fell 1 basis point to trade at 5.286%. Investors are looking for clues on the trajectory of monetary policy, after the Federal Reserve’s FOMC meeting concluded on Wednesday with its first rate hike in three years. The Fed signaled that further tightening could be in the cards. Earlier this week, the yield on the 10-year Treasury hit 5.041%, its highest level since 2007. Yields pulled back across the curve in the aftermath of the rate hike announcement.
10 Year Benchmark Technical View :
The 10 year Benchmark (6.94% GS 2036) yield likely to move in the range of 7.05% to 7.07% level on Monday.
