HDFC Bank gains as its arm partners with PhonePe

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1987.40, up by 8.05 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 1979.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1989.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1995.15 and Rs. 1971.70 respectively. So far 36826 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2036.30 on 30-Jul-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1603.10 on 14-Aug-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1998.35 and Rs. 1967.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1526621.85 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 84.79% and 15.21% stake in the company respectively.

HDFC Bank’s subsidiary -- HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company has forged a partnership with PhonePe to launch an affordable health insurance solution designed to serve the 'missing middle'. HDFC ERGO's partnership with PhonePe is a strategic move, as it brings together a trustworthy digital-first insurer and a digital payment platform. 

By tapping into the digital infrastructure of PhonePe, the 'missing middle' of India now will have easy access to HDFC ERGO's comprehensive health insurance at an affordable premium. Affordable premiums start at Rs 12 per day (or about Rs 4,380 per year) for Rs 3 lakhs coverage and other benefits. The policy can be purchased and issued through the PhonePe app.
