Greenlam Industries surges as its arm starts commercial production of Chipboard product

Greenlam Industries is currently trading at Rs. 572.65, up by 8.45 points or 1.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 564.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 584.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 584.20 and Rs. 566.45 respectively. So far 306 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 661.65 on 27-May-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 431.05 on 18-Mar-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 607.95 and Rs. 536.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7253.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.50% and 31.52% respectively.

Greenlam Industries’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Greenlam has commenced commercial production of Chipboard at its manufacturing facility located in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh with effect from January 23, 2025. 

The said manufacturing facility has an installed production capacity of 2,92,380 cubic meters per annum and has potential to generate revenue up to Rs 750 crore annually at full capacity utilization. The total capital expenditure incurred for the Chipboard project is around Rs 735 crore as of commencement of commercial production.
