Bond yields trade higher on Tuesday

Bond yields traded higher on Tuesday amid Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee meeting's decision scheduled for tomorrow.
In the global market, benchmark 10-year Treasury yield climbed back above the 4% level on Monday, even as President Donald Trump’s tariffs sparked fears of an economic slowdown. Furthermore, Oil slid around 3% on Monday to its weakest since 2021, while most commodity markets including metals and coffee declined as the intensifying trade war between the United States and China triggered worries over demand for raw materials.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 10 basis points higher at 6.58% from its previous close of 6.48% on Monday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 09 basis points higher at 6.42% from its previous close of 6.33% on Monday.
