Astral jumps on acquiring Al-Aziz Plastics

Astral is currently trading at Rs. 1314.00, up by 25.65 points or 1.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 1288.35 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1295.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1319.10 and Rs. 1294.00 respectively. So far 7285 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2453.95 on 02-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1232.00 on 13-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1348.00 and Rs. 1272.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35312.03 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.93% and 10.97% respectively.
Astral has completed the acquisition of 100% equity shares of Al-Aziz Plastics. The company’s key objective behind the said acquisition is to diversify its product range in plastic pipes and fittings and increase the capacities (for water, gas, electrical and solar application). AL-AZIZ is engaged in the business of manufacture of electrofusion fittings, compression fittings, saddles, electrical fittings, Irrigation Sprinklers and Filters, solar fittings, and accessories for the distribution of water, gas, electricity and solar power for last more than 25 years.
