Elpro International surges on acquiring stake in SBI General Insurance Company

Elpro International is currently trading at Rs. 81.00, up by 2.27 points or 2.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 78.73 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 81.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 82.48 and Rs. 79.50 respectively. So far 23382 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.90 on 31-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.00 on 27-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 88.90 and Rs. 70.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1372.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.43% and 12.58% respectively.

Elpro International has acquired 3,58,125 equity shares of SBI General Insurance Company for Investment Purpose. Cost of acquisition is Rs 39.39 crore. SBI General Insurance Company is general insurance company founded in year 2009 having registered office at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It started operations in 2010 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.

Elpro International is the only one outside the United States to manufacture surge arresters and zinc oxide discs with GE technology, acknowledged to be the best in the world.
