Bharti Airtel zooms on getting nod to allot of equity shares on preferential basis to Google

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 656.00, up by 14.00 points or 2.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 642.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 648.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 657.50 and Rs. 643.50 respectively. So far 344566 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 781.90 on 24-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 513.23 on 20-Jul-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 685.20 and Rs. 629.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 386159.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.86% and 5.21% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has received approval for allotment of 71,176,839 equity shares of the face value of Rs 5 each fully paid up, on preferential basis to Google International LLC (Google) at an issue price of Rs 734 per equity share (including a premium of Rs 729 per equity share). Google will hold 1.20% of the total post-issue equity shares of the company (1.17% on fully-diluted basis). Paid-up equity share capital of the company stands increased to Rs 28,306,517,827.50 divided into 5,563,231,650 fully paid-up equity shares of Rs 5 each and 392,287,662 partly- paid-up equity shares of Rs 5 each (paid-up value Rs 1.25 each). The 'Special Committee of Directors for Preferential Allotment' at their meeting held on July 14, 2022 has approved and allotted the same.
