Bajaj Auto inches up despite reporting 9% fall in September sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 3846.60, up by 14.15 points or 0.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 3832.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3830.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3879.15 and Rs. 3805.85 respectively. So far 5489 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4361.20 on 04-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2823.35 on 02-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3950.00 and Rs. 3805.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 110393.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.53% and 21.77% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported 9 percent fall in total sales to 402,021 units in September 2021 as against 441,306 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales decreased by 16 percent to 192,348 units in September as compared to 228,731 units in September 2020.   

Total two-wheeler sales were down 11 percent at 361,036 units as compared to 404,851 units in the year-ago month. Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 40,985 units in September 2021 as against 36,455 units in September 2020, registering a rise of 12 percent. Meanwhile, exports of the company decreased by 1 percent to 209,673 units in the reporting month compared to 212,575 in the same month last year.     

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
