`Working together` Starmer hails `strong mood` b/w India, UK; says trade deals will be good for jobs

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer highlighted the “strong mood” of cooperation between India and the UK, emphasizing the importance of working together on trade and economic growth He said"Well we have got the single biggest delegation trade mission ever to come to India, it's not just businesses, we've got universities, we've got cultural institutions, we've just done a fantastic deal on film. And here this is a Premier League initiative, the UK and India working together. So, this really shows the strength of the relationship. Actually, in answer to your question, none of them have raised with me the question of visas, that wasn't part of the FTA. What this is about is providing opportunities for them to take advantage of the FTA and even before it's fully in force. The mood is very very strong between India and the UK. And I'm really really pleased. And they're all bubbling with ideas, we're doing deals, they're doing deals every day of every conceivable sort, that's exactly right and it's really good for the UK and for jobs back in the United Kingdom. It's a very successful trip."
