''Indian economy is in good position to absorb shocks…'' Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran
On the stability of the Indian economy amidst the ongoing West Asia conflict, V Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Adviser, said, “The economy is in a good position to absorb the shocks and then emerge stronger at the end of it. We are doing well. We have been growing at 7% plus until this West Asia conflict happened. This year, there will be some setbacks, but we are well-positioned to deal with them.”
On Tamil Nadu’s economic growth, he said, “We have quite a few strengths here in Tamil Nadu in terms of education, skilling, industrial establishment and services sector. It's an all-round economy with strengths.”
