``Increase the steel production`` said BJP MP Naveen Jindal following meeting with Odisha CM Majhi

Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) and BJP MP Naveen Jindal says, "We met with the Chief Minister of Odisha and the Indian Steel Association presented its entire plan. The Chief Minister said that he wants to increase the steel production in Odisha, which is currently around 27 million tons, to 100 million tons within the next ten years, so that more youth get employment, the state's GDP increases, and the state's revenue increases. We gave him suggestions for this and assured him that the Indian Steel Association is fully with him and we will work together..." On the West Asia crisis, he says, "...Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, we have always placed a strong emphasis on self-reliance. Because of this, there is no electricity crisis today because we generate our own electricity from our own coal, renewables, and hydro. Therefore, we are completely self-sufficient in electricity. Jindal Steel has always focused heavily on coal gasification, and we are reaping the benefits of that...The government is also taking steps to promote coal gasification so that we can become more self-sufficient in gas as well. The Chief Minister has assured us that the government wants industries to be established here, industrialisation to take place, and employment for the youth, and that the government will take whatever steps are necessary to achieve this"
