Vande Bharat train ran at nearly 100 km/h speed for the first time on the world's highest Chenab rail Bridge on August 20. Earlier, the permissible speed on this section was 85 kmph for Mata Vaishno Devi Katra - Sangaldan section. This comes after approval was granted by Railway Ministry to increase maximum permissible speed of trains running on this section. The 111-km long new Broad Gauge rail section b/w Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra - Banihal comes under Jammu Division of Northern Railway
