Namo Ghat submerged as water level of Ganga River rises in Varanasi
Water level of River Ganga has been rising steadily and connectivity between the various ghats has been severed in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi on Aug 20. The impact extends from the Ganga Aarti to Manikarnika Ghat, where cremations are now being forced to take place on rooftops. Currently, the water level has reached 67.68 meters.
