Titagarh Rail Systems surges on getting Indian Railways' vendor status for traction motor supply

Titagarh Rail Systems is currently trading at Rs. 849.65, up by 17.30 points or 2.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 832.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 840.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 858.95 and Rs. 837.00 respectively. So far 57006 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 970.05 on 18-Jun-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 568.65 on 30-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 858.95 and Rs. 813.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11391.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.46%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.27% and 33.27% respectively. 

Titagarh Rail Systems has been included in the Approved Vendor category of Indian Railways for supply of 3-phase asynchronous traction motor type 6FRA-6068 for 3-phase locomotives, with an approved capacity of 1,200 numbers per annum for the Company, with effect from August 19, 2026.

The said approval is expected to further strengthen the company's presence in the locomotive equipment segment and enable it to participate in procurement opportunities for the aforesaid traction motors, subject to applicable tender conditions, orders and supply requirements of Indian Railways. The financial impact of the aforesaid development cannot be ascertained at this stage and will depend upon the orders received and the corresponding supply schedules.
