SJVN rises on signing power sale agreement with Damodar Valley Corporation

SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 102.24, up by 1.86 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 100.38 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 100.74 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 102.65 and Rs. 100.61 respectively. So far 118041 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159.60 on 26-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.50 on 03-Mar-2025.

SJVN has signed the Power Sale Agreement with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to supply 200 MW power to DVC from its 900 MW Arun-III Hydro Electric Project in Nepal.
The 900 MW Arun-III Hydro Electric Project is being developed by SJVN in Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal through its fully-owned subsidiary SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company (SAPDC). On commissioning, the project will generate 900 MW of clean energy and is expected to play a vital role in meeting the nation's growing power demands. The project is expected to be commissioned by FY 2027-28.
SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
