Rail Vikas Nigam gains on emerging as lowest bidder for Western Railway project

Rail Vikas Nigam is currently trading at Rs 347.15, up by 2.70 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs 344.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 342.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs 347.60 and Rs 342.20 respectively. So far 352784 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52-week high of Rs 518.10 on 03-Oct-2024 and a 52-week low of Rs 295.25 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 348.30 and Rs 336.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 72204.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.84%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.28% and 15.88% respectively.

Rail Vikas Nigam has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from Western Railway for ‘contract for strengthening of S&T maintenance activities by providing round the clock manpower for maintenance, repair and upkeep of signaling and telecom gears installed at various locations of Ahmedabad Division for two years.’ Broad consideration or size of the order is Rs 40.41 crore and is to be executed within 24 months.

Rail Vikas Nigam functions as an extended arm of the Ministry of Railways. The company is in the business of executing all types of railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable stayed bridges, institution buildings etc.
