Below the Quote on Pre Market Summary Sensex 17th December 2025 by Aakash Shah, Technical Research Analyst at Choice Equity Broking Private Limited

"The Sensex is expected to open on a cautious to mildly negative note on 17 December 2025, tracking weak global cues, sustained foreign institutional investor selling, and continued pressure from a depreciating rupee. Early volatility is likely as investors remain risk-averse, with any initial uptick expected to face selling at higher levels.

Overall sentiment is likely to stay subdued, and the index may witness range-bound movement with a negative bias, as traders prefer to cut risk ahead of clearer global cues. Defensive pockets could continue to show relative resilience, while banking, metals, and IT stocks may remain under pressure.

From a technical standpoint, immediate resistance is seen around the 85,100–85,200 zone, while support is placed near 84,100–84,200. A sustained move below support could trigger further consolidation, whereas a hold above support may invite selective buying at lower levels."
