Power Grid rises on getting nod to increase borrowing limit to Rs 15,000 crore for FY25

Power Grid Corporation Of India is currently trading at Rs. 343.55, up by 0.75 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 342.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 342.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 346.00 and Rs. 340.05 respectively. So far 657976 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 348.60 on 11-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 177.60 on 14-Jul-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 348.60 and Rs. 335.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 320731.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.09% and 3.57% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation’s board has approved a proposal to increase the borrowing limit to Rs 15,000 crore from Rs 12,000 crore for 2024-25 through the issue of secured/unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative, redeemable, taxable/tax-free bonds under private placement from domestic/other sources. The board has also fixed the borrowing limit at Rs 16,000 crore for 2025-26. The Board of Directors of the company, in their meeting held on July 10, 2024, has accorded the approvals for the same.
