Power Grid Corporation gains on acquiring Sikar Khetri Transmission
Power Grid Corporation Of India is currently trading at Rs. 273.80, up by 0.70 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 273.10 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 273.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 275.90 and Rs. 266.15 respectively. So far 845526 shares were traded on the counter.

Power Grid Corporation of India, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has on February 9, 2024 acquired Sikar Khetri Transmission, the Project SPV to establish Transmission System for ‘Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20GW) under Phase-III Part D – Phase I’, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator – REC Power Development and Consultancy.
The scope of the project comprises establishment of 02 nos. 765kV D/C transmission lines traversing in Rajasthan and Delhi along with associated bays extension works at existing substations located in Rajasthan and Delhi. The entity was acquired for an aggregate value of about Rs 19.30 crore including 50,000 equity shares at par at Rs 10 each along with assets and liabilities of the company as on February 9, 2024.
