NLC India rises on securing LoA for 200 MW wind power project from SJVN

NLC India is currently trading at Rs. 209.05, up by 2.60 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 206.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 209.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 209.05 and Rs. 209.05 respectively. So far 1099 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 311.65 on 16-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 185.85 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 222.25 and Rs. 201.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 28627.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.63% and 6.17% respectively.

NLC India has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from SJVN for 200 MW Wind Power Project at a tariff of Rs 3.74 per kWh on February 28, 2025. The project is set to generate 526 MU of clean green power each year offsetting equivalent amount of greenhouse gas emissions. With is order company’s total wind power capacity increased to more than 300 MW including projects. The company envision to achieve 10 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030. 

The newly secured project will contribute to India's commitment to increasing non-fossil fuel-based power generation, in line with the National Green Energy Policy and the government's target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. 

NLC India is a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal. The company is engaged in the business of mining of Lignite, Coal and generation of power by using lignite as well as Renewable Energy Sources and consultancy.
