MP Chief Minister to pitch for fresh textile investments at Bharat Tex-2026

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will seek to attract fresh investments in the state's textile, garment and footwear sectors during Bharat Tex-2026 to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from July 14 to 17, an official statement said on Monday.

The Chief Minister will hold one-on-one meetings with leading domestic and international textile companies, participate in round-table discussions and investor interactions, and oversee the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting investments, skill development, exports and industrial cooperation, it said.

A dedicated Madhya Pradesh pavilion will showcase the state's industrial policies, infrastructure, skill development initiatives, the PM MITRA Park in Dhar district and its integrated textile value chain. The state government said in a statement that Madhya Pradesh offers a complete textile ecosystem, from cotton production to garment manufacturing, making it one of the country's most attractive destinations for investment in the sector.

The Chief Minister is also expected to hold discussions with industry leaders on expansion of production capacity, exports, employment generation and technical collaboration. Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh will also be present during the event.

According to the statement, more than 100 industrialists, investors and representatives of textile and garment industry associations are expected to participate in a special round-table meeting, where suggestions on exports, global competitiveness, sustainable manufacturing, logistics and skill development will be discussed.

The state government said several national and international companies are also expected to express interest in participating in the Global Investors Summit scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh in January 2027.

The government stated that Madhya Pradesh is committed to creating a globally competitive textile industry through investment-friendly policies, modern infrastructure and long-term partnerships, and invited industry leaders to join the state's growth journey.

The government said the state would highlight its position as the country's largest producer of organic cotton, its "farm-to-fashion" textile ecosystem and incentives such as capital investment support, interest subsidies, electricity duty reimbursement and land-related concessions to attract investors.
