JSW Steel slips on the BSE

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 945.30, down by 9.45 points or 0.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 954.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 952.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 952.00 and Rs. 941.45 respectively. So far 8141 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1074.15 on 25-Mar-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 824.10 on 04-Jun-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1055.45 and Rs. 907.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 231608.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.69% and 18.47% respectively.

JSW Steel has reported consolidated crude steel production for Q4FY25 at 7.63 million tonnes, increasing by 12% Year-on-Year (YoY) over 6.54 million tonnes in Q4FY24. The Crude Steel production was higher by 9% quarter- on- quarter (QoQ). On the yearly basis, the company has reported consolidated crude steel production for FY25 at 27.79 million tonnes, increasing by 4% Year-on-Year (YoY) over 26.68 million tonnes in FY24.

The company recorded its highest ever quarterly Indian operation’s Crude Steel production at 7.40 million tonnes in Q4FY25, which was higher by 9% QoQ & 13% YoY. Capacity utilisation at Indian Operations excluding trial run stood at 93% for Q4 FY25. JSW Steel USA - Ohio’s crude steel production stood at 0.23 million tonnes in Q4FY25. The 5 MTPA Integrated Steel Project at Vijayanagar, set up by wholly owned subsidiary of the company, JSW Vijayanagar Metallics (JVML), is progressing well. Once fully ramped up, the total crude steel capacity at Vijayanagar will increase to 17.5 MTPA, contributing to JSW Steel’s overall Indian operation’s crude steel capacity at 34.2 MTPA.

JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
