India’s oilmeal exports remained largely flat at 20.93 lakh tonnes during April-September 2025-26, a slight increase of 0.5% compared with the previous year. However, exports in September surged 40% year-on-year to 2.99 lakh tonnes, driven by higher shipments of soybean, rapeseed, groundnut, and castorseed meals. Soybean meal exports declined to 8.39 lakh tonnes in the first half of the year due to price pressures, while increased groundnut production over the past two years led to higher crushing and boosted groundnut meal exports to 15,967 tonnes from 5,090 tonnes in the same period last year.
