The Election Commission of India will announce the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that we expect free and fair elections and the ECI should not belong to any party. He also alleged that the ruling party tries to lure the voters after the imposition of model code of conduct.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "The Election Commission must be unbiased. It should not belong to any party. When the code of conduct is implemented, the ruling party tries to lure the voters... The conduct of the Election Commission should be the same and fair for everyone..."
