The inaugural ‘ICARUS'24: A Drone War Competition’ marked a pioneering moment in Jammu's educational landscape as Jodhamal School hosted the first-ever event of its kind in the country. Aimed at fostering a culture of engineering and nurturing scientific acumen among school students, ICARUS’24 showcased a dynamic blend of innovation and skill among its participants. Six teams, comprising a total of 33 students, showcased their technical prowess in a series of fiercely contested drone challenges, including PIT displays, knockout races, and drone presentations. The event, held in the sprawling confines of the School's MPH, underscored the institution's commitment to STEM education and innovation. As drones buzzed overhead, the competition provided a platform for budding scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and technological prowess. With a focus on holistic learning, ICARUS’24 not only allowed students to experiment with scientific technology but also provided them with invaluable exposure to budgeting, seeking sponsorships, designing merchandise, and pitching their products. The incorporation of drones into the curriculum represents a significant stride in preparing future scientists for the complexities of modern technology.
