Market Outlook: Indian markets are expected to open marginally negative, with Gift Nifty down 28.5 points (-0.12%). The overnight global setup remained subdued, with the S&P 500 declining 0.17%, Dow Jones 0.20% and Nasdaq 100 0.13%. Domestic market breadth also remained weak, with the NSE advance-decline ratio at 1,475:1,843 and BSE at 1,896:2,393. Nifty closed at 24,366, with near-term support at 24,306/24,246 and resistance at 24,415/24,464.

FII & DII Activity: Institutional flows remained supportive, with FIIs turning net buyers of ?508 crore and DIIs recording net purchases of ?356 crore. The simultaneous buying from both foreign and domestic institutions provides some support to the market despite the weak global cues and subdued domestic breadth.

Sector Activity: Consumer Durables (+0.8%) emerged as the strongest sector, followed by Services (+0.1%), while most sectors ended lower. Pharma (-0.9%) was the biggest laggard, followed by Metals (-0.7%), Auto (-0.6%) and PSU Banks (-0.6%). Broader markets also remained under pressure, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 250 declining 0.5% each.

Derivatives Activity: Long build-up was visible in PAGEIND, APLAPOLLO, JUBLFOOD, VOLTAS and MOTILALOF, while short build-up was seen in DRREDDY, BSE, TMPV, NATIONALUM and SBICARD. Long unwinding was observed in COCHINSHIP, DELHIVERY, RADICO, MCX and ASTRAL, whereas short covering was witnessed in APOLLOHOSP, AMBER, LICI, BPCL and PETRONET.

Amber Enterprises: Q1FY27 revenue increased 13% YoY to ?3,888 crore, while adjusted PAT grew 19% to ?126 crore and EBITDA rose 28% to ?337 crore. Headline PAT fell sharply due to a ?123 crore exceptional charge. The company also announced a mobile-manufacturing collaboration with Oppo.
Voltas: Q1FY27 consolidated PAT rose 53% YoY to ?214 crore, with revenue increasing 19% to ?4,674 crore. EBITDA grew 49% to ?266 crore, while margins expanded to 5.69%. The company sold 1 million room ACs in 81 days and formed a JV with Atomberg Innovation.
Patanjali Foods: Q1FY27 net profit increased 86% YoY on record revenue, supported by strong performance in the Edible Oils and Biscuits businesses. The board also declared its first interim FY27 dividend of ?0.80 per share.
Bharat Dynamics: Q1FY27 standalone PAT surged 547% YoY to ?119 crore from ?18 crore, while revenue increased 130% YoY, driven by strong execution of defence orders.
Cochin Shipyard: Q1FY27 consolidated PAT declined 19.4% YoY to ?151.45 crore despite total income rising to ?1,161.25 crore. Shipbuilding revenue grew 59.5%, while a 37.4% decline in ship-repair revenue weighed on margins.
