SEBI's decision to notify sustainable finance securities is a concrete step towards enabling market participants to raise sustainable finance. The Finance Minister in her budget speech for 24-25 had highlighted the funding gap for substantial fund raising to achieve sustainable development goals. All regulators are responding to focus on sustainable financing. Now the overall ecosystem has to respond to it so that the overall ESG ranking of India is improved.
