Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri in Gorakhpur on October 02. It was on the occasion of their birth anniversaries. He also tried his hands on Charkha during his visit to the Khadi store and interacted with the workers of the shop. Notably, October 02 marks the birth anniversaries of ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.

“The entire country is paying homage to revered Bapu on the 154th birth anniversary of the great hero of independence, the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi... Bapu played a vital role in India's freedom movement. The path of non-violence that was shown to the country is the biggest strength of democracy... On this occasion, on the call of PM Modi, a cleanliness campaign is going on in the entire state,” said Yogi Adityanath.
