EAM Jaishankar highlights India’s priorities in the UK: community, economy, and tech

EAM Dr S Jaishankar inaugurated the Consulate General of India in Northern Island’s Belfast on March 7. The step marks a significant milestone in strengthening diplomatic ties between India and the UK. While speaking to ANI, he highlighted three focus points to strengthen the ties with the United Kingdom.
"Focus number 1 is to serve the Indian community...Focus number two is to explore the economic opportunities here. And we see those opportunities increasing because our ties with the UK are deepening. And this is also a meeting point, in a way, for the UK with the European Union. Focus number 3 is education and technology. We have a number of IT companies here. We have an important university here, the Queen's University, which has decided to set up a presence in India," said Dr S Jaishankar
