Canara Robeco Large Cap Fund Celebrates 15 Years of Existence

Canara Robeco Mutual Fund, India’s second oldest asset manager celebrates 15 years of long-term wealth creation journey of Canara Robeco Large Fund (erstwhile Canara Robeco Bluechip Equity Fund), an open-ended scheme predominantly investing in large cap stocks. The scheme aims to benefit from the growth potential of the Indian economy by investing in large cap stocks which have potential to grow in line with the country’s economic expansion. The benchmark of the scheme is BSE 100 Total Return Index.

The investment objective of the fund is to provide capital appreciation by predominantly investing in companies having a large market capitalisation. However, there can be no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be realised.

The Assets Under Management (AUM) of Canara Robeco Large Fund (the Scheme) was Rs. 16,406.92 crores as of 31st July 2025. The last 1-year, 3 years and 5 years CAGR returns of regular plan - growth option of the said Scheme was 1.87%, 16.10% and 18.64% as compared to -0.55%, 15.43% and 19.94% of the benchmark (BSE 100 TRI) and 0.54%, 13.52% and 18.05% of the additional benchmark (BSE SENSEX TRI), considering the returns as on 31st July 2025. Since inception (August 20, 2010), the scheme (Regular Plan – Growth Option) has delivered a CAGR of 13.07% to investors as against 12.18% of the benchmark index and 13.79% of the additional benchmark index.

Further, Rs. 10,000 invested in the Scheme (Regular Plan – Growth Option) at inception would have grown to Rs. 62,760 as on July 31, 2025 as against Rs. 55,790 in the benchmark. Whereas, Rs. 10,000 invested every month in regular plan growth option of scheme (SIP Investment) since inception, which would be a total investment of Rs. 18,00,000 as on July 31, 2025, would have grown to Rs. 58,23,826 delivering a XIRR of 14.34%.

Under normal circumstances, the Scheme can allocate 80% to 100% of the total assets towards Large Cap equity and equity related instruments*, 0%- 20% of the total assets in the other equity and equity related instruments and 0%-20% of the total assets in debt and money market instruments. The scheme can also invest 0% to 10% of the total assets in REITs and InviTs.

The fund is managed by Mr. Shridatta Bhandwaldar and Mr. Vishal Mishra.
