Breakthrough, an organization making gender-based violence unacceptable by transforming the culture that permits violence, has been recognized as a ‘Great Place to Work.’ In addition, Breakthrough received many certifications and awards such as the Best Workplaces For Women, Healthy Workplace 2023, India’s Best NGOs (Top 20), and Great Mid-size Workplaces.  These recognitions and awards reaffirm Breakthrough’s commitment to workplace excellence and employee wellbeing.

Breakthrough has been recognized by Great Place to Work as one of India's Best NGOs To Work For (Top 20) and India's Best Workplaces for Women in 2023. This marks the third consecutive win for Breakthrough. Great Place To Work India applies an extremely robust methodology to determine the organizations that genuinely reflect the spirit of this category and identify the ‘Best Workplaces for Women’. In addition, an anonymous employee survey is carried out for each participating organization to gain insight into the experiences of all employees. A research-based framework is used to evaluate each practice in isolation to ascertain whether the organization's goal is to establish a culture that is gender-equitable for every employee. The workplace experiences of women (Binary), gender parity in experience, and representation at all levels and in the relevant industries are further evaluated for eligible organizations before arriving at a final decision.

Breakthrough has been recognized as the ‘Healthy Workplace 2023’ by the Public Health Foundation of India and Arogya World India Trust. This recognizes Breakthrough’s efforts that promote employee’s holistic health and well-being.

Breakthrough is also certified as a “Great Place to Work'' (Jan'2023 Jan'2024). The Great Place to Work Certification is one of the most prestigious achievements for any organization across the globe.

The certification results underscore a thriving and positive workplace culture at Breakthrough. Notably, 86% of employees affirm a culture of mutual respect, reflecting a harmonious work environment. An overwhelming 88% express pride in their association with Breakthrough, emphasizing a strong sense of organizational loyalty. Additionally, 83% acknowledge the fairness of management practices, evaluating criteria such as equity, impartiality, and justice. Furthermore, a remarkable 87% highlight a profound sense of enjoyment, emphasizing the organization's commitment to fostering a work environment that encourages intimacy and authenticity, allowing employees to be their true selves.
