Bajaj Auto surges on reporting rise in May sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 9375.00, up by 292.55 points or 3.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 9082.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 9175.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9440.00 and Rs. 9135.05 respectively. So far 14566 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 9440.00 on 03-Jun-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4,544.00 on 14-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 9440.00 and Rs. 8888.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 261753.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.06%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.06% and 21.88% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported marginal rise in total sales to 3,55,323 units in May 2024 as against 3,55,148 in the same month last year. Total domestic (2-WH + CV) sales decreased by 1% to 2,25,087 units in May 2024 as compared to 2,28,401 units in May 2023. Total exports (2-WH + CV) increased by 3% to 1,30,236 units in May 2024 as compared to 1,26,747 units in May 2023.  

Total domestic two-wheeler sales were down by 3% at 1,88,340 units in May 2024 as compared to 1,94,811 units in the year-ago month. Total domestic Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 36,747 units in May 2024 as against 33,590 units in May 2023, registering a rise of 9%.
