Avenue Supermarts gains on reporting 17% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Avenue Supermarts is currently trading at Rs. 4972.10, up by 18.75 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 4953.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5070.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5166.10 and Rs. 4941.95 respectively. So far 26179 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5220.00 on 19-Jun-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3493.05 on 16-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5166.10 and Rs. 4732.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 322330.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.65%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.24% and 8.10% respectively.

Avenue Supermarts has reported 16.84% fall in its net profit at Rs 812.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 695.36 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 18.34% at Rs 13763.82 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 11631.23 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. 

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 17.45% rise in net profit at Rs 773.68 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 658.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 18.54% at Rs 14110.74 crore for Q1FY25 as compared to Rs 11904.18 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
