ICICI Lombard General Insurance spurts on offering cyber insurance to Airtel Payments Bank’s customers

ICICI Lombard General Insurance is currently trading at Rs. 1369.15, up by 30.50 points or 2.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 1338.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1340.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1388.00 and Rs. 1337.75 respectively. So far 24697 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1674.00 on 22-Sep-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1305.70 on 25-Jan-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1397.00 and Rs. 1330.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 67160.22 crore.

ICICI Lombard's cyber insurance solution provides financial protection to customers against potential financial fraud relating to banking, credit or debit card; identity theft; phishing or email spoofing and more. Airtel Payments Bank customers can purchase this cyber insurance policy within minutes using the Airtel Thanks app.

The insurance comes with zero waiting period and allows users to make multiple claims multiple times during the policy tenure, within the limits of the insured amount opted for. The policy will provide a 90-day discovery period followed by a seven-day reporting period. This means that if the insured discovers an unauthorised transaction processed from their card or account on the 90th day from the transaction date, they can still report it in the next seven days to the issuing bank or mobile wallet company.
