GHCL Q1 net profit zooms 240.36% at Rs 345.36 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 345.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 101.47 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 240.36 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 60.65 per cent at Rs 1,365.21 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 849.81 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 41.54 per cent to Rs 942.36 crore from Rs 665.79 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 28.17 per cent at Rs 5.96 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 4.65 crore). Operating Profit surged by 129.78 per cent to Rs 422.85 crore as against Rs 184.02 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 43.05 per cent in June quarter. Interest declined by 28.42 per cent y-o-y to Rs 11.84 crore, while Taxation increased by 171.82 per cent at Rs 100.52 crore (Jun'21 Rs 36.98 crore).
