GAIL India soars on executing Share Purchase agreements with NTPC

GAIL India is currently trading at Rs. 151.50, up by 5.00 points or 3.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 146.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 146.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 152.70 and Rs. 146.30 respectively. So far 2909615 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 152.70 on 25-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 65.70 on 19-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 152.70 and Rs. 142.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 68509.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 43.83% and 4.05% respectively.

GAIL India has executed Share Purchase agreements with NTPC on February 23, 2021 for purchase of NTPC's entire shareholding (14.82%) in Konkan LNG (KLL). Consequently, GAIL's shareholding in KLL increased to 92.15% and for the sale of GAIL's entire shareholding (25.51%) in Ratnagiri Gas and Power (RGPPL) to NTPC. Consequently, GAIL's shareholding in RGPPL reduced to NIL.
