Coal India zooms on chalking out yet another high in total coal supplies

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 185.15, up by 4.15 points or 2.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 181.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 184.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 187.75 and Rs. 181.65 respectively. So far 1567719 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.85 on 06-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 123.45 on 19-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 198.00 and Rs. 160.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 113301.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.94% and 5.93% respectively.

Coal India (CIL) has chalked out yet another high in total coal supplies at 608.15 million tonnes (MTs) as of March 4. CIL moved past the previous highest coal off-take of 608.14 MTs achieved in FY’19 nearly four weeks before the current fiscal draws to a close.

Almost all CIL subsidiaries are ahead in their respective coal off-take numbers over corresponding period last year. CIL is concentrating its efforts to increase its supplies further in a bid to touch 670 MTs off-take mark in FY’22.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
